Competition finalists

The first stage of the Aqua, Ambra, Aquila – Kotka International Jewellery Competition is now complete and the jury has selected ten finalists to proceed to the second and final stage of the competition.

The finalists are:  Anna Fanigina, Latvia, Susanna & Tobias Feuerbacher, Tero Hannonen, Sarah Happonen, Tiina Luonua, Jenni Rutonen, Katja Salomaa, Saija Sipeläinen, Olga Sorsa and Leena Tuomanen.

”We recieved 81 entrys from 62 artists from five different countries. The jury selected 10 finalists that will compete for the prizes. The standard was high and the jury feels that all the finalists truly deserve their place. The final results will be presented at the opening of the exhibition on 30 at the Maritime Center Vellamo in Kotka. Good luck to all the contestants.” says Henrik Kihlman, the executive director of Finnish Goldsmiths’ Association.
